I mean this with all sincerity:
ALL Work Matters!
It's easy for salespeople, or even entire industries, to buy into the misperception that what they do isn't "important" enough, in comparison to other fields of work, and as a result exert a lack of individual Effort, or investment.
This is why careers stall, terminate and/or disappointment and disillusionment set in.
The thought that we can have a lack of Effort in this job (because it supposedly doesn't matter), yet we will step up and be committed and awesome in the next, is delusional.
The Effort you expend Today, wherever you find yourself, is the Crucible we all face, and the key to all our tomorrows.
Today is your future reprogrammed in the moment.
It matters.
