Your Presentation Sucks

Ok - maybe it doesn't - I hope not - but that's the title of my new book and in the world I inhabit - it is true more often than not.

I know we think in terms of "presentation" as being something formal or planned - but the definition is "a demonstration meant to inform, persuade, inspire, motivate or build good will" - and that pretty much covers every moment of every day of our lives - both personally and professionally.

Aren't we "demonstrating" by how we dress, how we speak, what we say and do? How we treat our co workers and family and friends? How we work?

I think the problem is that we don't focus on the importance and magnitude of our Presentation to the world - and how we can impact and improve it dramatically - just by clearly defining what we want it to be.

Every individual is truly unique - and your greatest opportunity to be successful in this world (success as defined by YOU) is to work to develop yourself - and it does not happen on its own - and I'm not even sure it happens naturally except to a point - then we have to take over - no one can or will do it for us - and when we "get" it - we understand that is is a Superpower.

Circling back to the title of this post - if I were to actually say this to someone it would be a clear indicator that MY "presentation" is in need of improvement. We all have areas to improve - that's the point in thinking about it. Start TODAY.
