The Sales Role, when taken seriously, is not easy.
Average is easy. Expertise is hard.
When you finally see what is required for sustained success, the myriad of skills that have to be developed over time, it can be intimidating, and it's always easier to tap out and find comfort with the masses.
We shouldn't be intimidated by the work and effort required; we should be intimidated by the fear of being average.
