I googled the Top 20 films depicting salespeople - and decided to watch them - not sure exactly what I was looking for - or what I would learn.
Curiously, we weren't depicted unfavorably in the vast majority of films as I expected, rather there was a specific delineation between a favorable or unfavorable representation: Values.
The characters that embodied Values (not a word you normally relate to the profession):
Perseverance
Accountability
Diligence (EFFORT)
Discipline
Integrity
all triumphed in the end.
The Good news is Values are Skills that can be adopted and developed like any other.
A Values Based Sales Process is the only way any of us can write the Hollywood ending of a successful and sustainable career.
All we control are our Efforts Today.
Represent.
